About Me

I haave been a practicing Counsellor and Therapist for over 25 year and a Sexual and Relationship Therapist since 1990. I am accredited with the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapy (COSRT), a registered practitioner of the United Kingdom Council for Psychology (UKCP) and a member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). I am also a qualified supervisor of counsellor practitioners having a Diploma in Consultancy and Supervision and Consultancy awarded through the Whittington Hospital NHS Trust School of Counselling (1998).

In my counselling work with individuals and couples I work in an Humanistic Integrative way influenced by my initial training at the Pellin Gestalt Centre in London (I have a Post Graduate Advanced Diploma in Gestalt Therapy) and would describe myself and my way of working as down to earth, open and approachable.

I also trained as a Psychosexual Therapist at the Whittington Hospital NHS Trust and at South Bank University (London) and hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychosexual Therapy.  Beyond my counselling and practitioner supervision, I have also worked on a number of counsellor training courses to Post Graduate level tutoring, mentoring and supervising trainee practitioners both individually and in small groups on a variety of subjects.  This experience also included me working as an Academic Marker to a London Graduate Person Centred Counselling Training and a Post Graduate Humanistic Integrative training.  I have a further interest in Trauma.  Having published a chapter in ‘Trauma: A Practitioner’s Guide (Ed Thom Spiers.
